Our Meetings Are Held Thursday Nights at 7:00PM at the Thurmont Scouting, Inc. Building, 26 Elm Street

The Troop Committee is looking for parents to fill many important roles at the Troop and District levels. If you would like to help out in any way, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Troop Committee Chairman.

Parents need to be sure that their scouts are signing up for activities at the beginning of each meeting.  A scout must sign up for activities, provide a permission slip and pay fees as required two meetings before an activity. Most activities have deadlines for sign up. See our Outdoor Coordinator if you have any questions.

Dues Catch Up: Please remember that each Scout is responsible for his yearly monetary obligation to the Troop. Many of our Scouts are behind in meeting their financial obligation at this time. If your Scout is behind, please encourage him to catch up.

Youth Protection Will Need to Be Renewed Every Two Years

Beginning in January 1, 2009, the BSA is enforcing it's policy on Youth Protection training (YPT) every two years. Youth Protection training can be found on the BSA Online Learning Center website. Print the certificate upon completion of the training for your records.

As of February 2018 there is a new YPT 2.0 which replaces Scout YPT and Venturing YPT and everyone must take it before October 1st, 2018 to remain compliant.
