The Troop's website is an essential resource both for the parents of the troop to get important information but also for the community at large to see the Troop in action and how we affect our local communities. Keeping the website up-to-date is crucial thus we rely on you, as adult leaders to help with this task. However, there are strict BSA National, Council as well as Troop rules and policies that must be followed. Along with that, an understanding of how the technology works is important so that the website remains in running order.
The following will be covered in 5 separate areas;
Website Policy which covers the Council rules and our Troop rules. Before you edit any page, make sure you read this one first.
Editing a webpage, which covers how to edit a webpage and what everything shown means.
Adding photos to a webpage which covers a sample on how to add photos from a third party photo host such as PhotoBucket or Instagram.
Adding Pictures to the Scrapbook's Albums!
Adding items to the calendar which covers how to use Google Calendar for our Troop.
