Youth Protection Will Need to Be Renewed Every Two Years

Beginning in January 2009, the BSA is enforcing it's policy on Youth Protection training/renewal every two years. Youth Protection training can be found on the BSA Online Learning Center Web site. Print the card upon completion of the training for your records.

This paper describes what expenses it is be­lieved a Scout leader can and cannot deduct for tax pur­poses under the current (2007) U.S. tax laws.  These ex­penses can be deducted under Charitable Contribu­tions on Schedule A, Form 1040.

 

The information contained here, although spe­cifi­cally oriented toward Scout leaders, in gen­eral, also applies to work for other nonprofit charitable or­ganizations that are recognized by the U.S. govern­ment, especially those oriented toward the education of youth.
