Image of Computer Merit BadgeAs you can see the upgrade and all new look of the Web site is complete!  While you still will be able to find all the items that you are used to getting here, the look of the Web site is all new as well as most of everything you can't see.  In addition to sprucing the site up, we have upgraded the workings to make the site accessible to the disabled and added new content for the Scouts, such as a new games section!

Also included in the new site are videos for all the rank requirements for Tenderfoot through First Class, and easy to use ling to the Boy's Life Merit Badge requirements look-up tool and the Troop Handbook for new and older Scouts ... and their parents!

A question we have received is, "Where is the guest book/message boards?"  The simple answer is that the Boy Scouts of America and the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) has strict guidelines and suggested operating parameters for unit websites within its council.  One of the directives, due to "Safe Scouting" and "Youth Protection" is that no chat capabilities be used on a unit website.  Basically, anything that can be put on the website that isn't pre-screened and approved by the Troop Committee cannot be used.  Thus, no guest book, no chat rooms, no message boards/forums and no advertising.  For a full set of the NCAC guidelines, you can look HERE.

We hope this helps answer the question and feel free to email us with any other questions, suggestions or comments you have about the website.
